Don't forget that Ronde van Palouse is part of the Champion of the Spring Classics Series. Partnered with the Rocky Mountain Roubaix (Saturday, April 27), these two early season races are the hardest, dirtiest, meanest races in the Pacific Northwest. Rain, snow, pot holes, and mud! UPDATE (2/25/13): Parking, registration, staging, and awards will be at the Liberty ELEMENTARY school, NOT at the high school. The school is immediately southwest of the high school.

Master's fields are open only to USA Cycling Category 1-4 racers. Category 5 racers (new racers) must race in the Cat 4/5 field. The only exception are Masters 60+ who can race in either the Cat 5 field or the Masters 60+ field. Read more about Master's fields here.

Five (5) riders make a category. Promoter also reserves the right to combine, split, or cancel fields depending on turnout. Fields that race together will still be scored separately.

Entrance Fee: $25 includes sales tax, insurance surcharges, registration fees, and pretty sweet RvP shirt. 

• WSBA number required. $10 rental numbers available ($5 refundable for Wash. and Idaho residents; $10 refundable for all others) 
• USA Cycling license required. $10 One-Day Licenses available only for Men Cat 5 and Women Cat 4, no exceptions.

Because everyone ones that pies make everything better--including bike racing!--Cyrus O'Leary's is giving each podium finisher their very own pie. Now that's a pretty sweet prize list.

Champion of the Spring Classics Series Prizes: 

This year's Champion of the Spring Classics sponsor is none other than Cyrus O'Leary's.  We've again combined Ronde van Palouse and Jacobson-Schutte Racing's (formerly Northern Rockies Orthopedic) Rocky Mountain Roubaix (Saturday, April 27) to create the Champion of the Spring Classics presented by Cyrus O'Leary's. The highest placed Cat 1/2 Man, Cat 3 Man,  Master 40+ Man, and Cat 1/2/3 Woman will win cash. You have to do both races to win! 

Frequently Asked Questions:

• WSBA torso and frame numbers will be used. Purchase your 2013 WSBA number in advance at WSBARacing.com. Also read Why WSBA Numbers?.
• Support vehicle for each field will be “wheels in/wheels out”. However, your best bet is to run a wider tire with max air pressure.
•  New for 2014: Gravel Wheel Pit. Some of the wheels that riders put into the wheel cars will be randomly selected and placed at a "wheels in/wheels out" pit along the gravel section of the route. So while we hope there's a wheel car within seconds of you and your flat, at least you know there's a second option close by.
  
• A feed zone is available for teams and individuals with their own support person. Your soigneur should be instructed to stand in the feed zone on South Rattlers Run (see map below). There is parking at the intersection of Dawson Road and Rattlers Run Road. 
• Award ceremony and burrito fiesta will be at Liberty Elementary School after the last field has finished (approximately 2:30 p.m.)

Other Rules: All USA Cycling rules apply. Racers must present valid 2013 USA Cycling license at registration, no exceptions. Riders outside the "race caravan" must obey the standard rules of the road. Helmets must be worn any time the participant is on a bicycle--before, during, and after the race, except while on a trainer.
